SCIENTIFIC RATIONALE AND KEY TOPICS
This Symposium is the second one for the IAGA International Symposium at Cairo, Egypt. The first one was held during October 5-9, 2008 entitled “Space weather and its effects on Spacecraft”. For more details see http://iaga.cu.edu.eg
The aim of the second symposium is to keep the initial momentum of moving Space Science and Solar wind forward all over the world, in order that they might share their latest research, a momentum that will be produced by this symposium.
The symposium focuses on the fundamental problem of the Solar wind (Stream and Fast) and its related physical effects on the Space Environment, outer atmosphere and interplanetary space.
the Symposium Sessions :
The suggested Preliminary Scientific Program will aim to address 2 main subjects: Solar wind and space environment. The symposium will be divided into 6 sessions, as follows:
Session 1: Slow Wind Streams, CMEs & 3D Structures of the Corona and Heliosphere.
Session 2: Fast Solar Wind & Plumes
Session 3: The influence of solar wind turbulence on geomagnetic activity and Earth’s Atmosphere
Session 4: The role of solar wind heavy ions in the space environment, Meteors and Meteoroids
Session 5: Modeling of the Solar Wind and Space Weather.
Session 6: Helospheric Plasma and magnetic reconnections
Session 7: Space Science Researches & Education and Public Outreach, The International Year of Astronomy (IYA2009).
Final Recommendation.
This symposium will aim to stimulate exchange and promote discussion on the recent developments derived from the observations and the latest researches in the field. We can get the new ideas for corporations between IUGG, IAU and IAGA, and Middle East countries.
The participants welcome from all over the world, there are special sessions for Young Scientist.
